    Allied Universal is seeking a Global Operations Center (GOC) Supervisor for a technology client in Palo Alto, CA This position will oversee the GOC’s efforts across the company in support of Global & Local workplace services and other Headquarters groups, to identify security initiatives and standards. Maintain continuity of operations and safeguard the organization.

    • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in GOC operations at the operator level mandatory; supervisory experience preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security, or Law Enforcement preferred
    • Previous experience with critical incident management, business continuity, and emergency management.

    Job Description

    Global Operations Center Supervisor

    The role will be based in Palo Alto supporting the Global Operations Center (GOC) and reports to the GOC Lead.

    This position will oversee the GOC’s efforts across the company in support of Global & Local workplace services and other Headquarters groups, to identify security initiatives and standards. Maintain continuity of operations and safeguard the organization. Oversight of protection responsibilities include workplace violence prevention, access control systems, video surveillance, and emergency protocols (e.g., disaster recovery, text messaging alerts, and employee safety verification procedures)

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure safety and security of our people while enhancing our culture of openness and transparency
    • Collaborate with the Shift Supervisors to develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the GOC.
    • Implement security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security, including crisis response scenario planning. Engage in training and certification protocols when necessary to address specific risks.
    • Relationships with local Law Enforcement and Intelligence Communities Maintain appropriate relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement.
    • Monitoring and Audits Identify and deploy the internal and external tools necessary to identify emerging threats to employees and to business activities. Ensure that the tools deployed include business intelligence and social media monitoring and intelligence collection.
    • Assist on investigations regarding security threats and potential unlawful activity. Collaborate closely with the other relevant departments (e.g., Legal, Data Security, Privacy, Corporate Compliance, Human Resources) regarding these matters
    • Assist the Regional Security Manager in developing or assisting in the development of security plans and procedures, implementation of post assignments for specified locations.
    • Provide immediate and timely response to any problems or concerns proposing viable solutions.

    Additional Job Functions

    • In the absence of the GOC Lead, serve as the acting Lead and voice of the GOC on all matters pertaining to emergency management, and threat management.
    • Provide operations support and coverage as necessary.
    • Perform other related duties and special project functions as assigned.
    • Experience with planning, auditing, and/or risk management
    • Demonstrated experience leading a large team or workforce of security or law enforcement professionals
    • Conduct security audits and manage gaps to closure
    • Conduct comprehensive quality checks of all security services
    • Solid understanding of information technology and information security
    • Experience successfully communicating or presenting to all levels of the organization, including briefing and training on status of security issues.
    • Experience with technology, software, creative or media industry operations
    • Results-driven, adaptable with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
    • Strong leadership, partnership, collaboration and influencing skills
    • Ability to work effectively and productively in a highly diverse, creative, fast-paced, multi-cultural environment
    • Provide leadership in reaching the GOC’s mission and achieving Global Safety & Security’s (GSS) goals and objectives
    • Ensure that all applicable security policies and procedures are adhered to by GOC operators
    • Work across all shifts to ensure training, documentation, and responses are consistent
    • Work closely with guard force site supervisors in all regions (Americas, EMEA, APAC)
    • Maintain timely and accurate reporting as required; deliver metrics on performance, output, outcomes, and impact
    • Develop and implement programs to enhance supervision and operational proficiency
    • Ensure continuity of operations, coordinate shift pass down information, and conduct or delegate appropriate shift briefings to provide all updates, assignments, training, and uniform compliance
    • Maintain situational awareness of natural and man-made events that may compromise the safety and security of personnel, business operations, and infrastructure for client locations Globally

    Desired Qualifications

    • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in GOC operations at the operator level mandatory; supervisory experience preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security, or Law Enforcement preferred
    • Previous experience with critical incident management, business continuity, and emergency management.
    • Certified Protection Professional Certification, Physical Security Professional, or a similar certification
    • Strong operational knowledge of technical security systems such as Security Access Control Systems, Video Surveillance Systems, alarm monitoring systems and all associated user hardware of those systems
    • Strong computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft office products
    • Familiarity with standard security communication protocols and equipment
    • Demonstrate the ability to perform multiple tasks in a challenging or crisis environment, while making sound and practical decisions
    • It is essential that the candidate be highly motivated and able to function efficiently in a minimally supervised environment
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
    • Proficient in Word, Excel, Gmail, and other Google products such as Google Docs
