Job: Maintenance Technician II, Full Time: Macy's Eastridge Mall

Overview:

Performs various skilled and semi-skilled facility maintenance and repair tasks to include carpentry, painting, lamping, equipment repair, life safety systems, Haz/Mat, HazCom, housekeeping, etc.

Key Accountabilities:

Responsible for the proper maintenance and repair for the entire facility including housekeeping, maintenance and repairs, carpentry, painting, lamping, fire/life/safety, etc. Supports the installation, maintenance, operation and repair of mechanical and electrical systems.
Coordinates and communicates with Maintenance staff, Store personnel, Management and the Facility Manager to ensure all work is efficiently and correctly executed.
Orders and maintains proper inventories of supplies to include lamps, ballasts, housekeeping supplies, etc.
Performs routine scheduled preventive maintenance duties to include filter changes, lubricating equipment, equipment readings, etc. Performs fire/life/safety inspections and maintains necessary records. Performs general maintenance and housekeeping duties as needed.
Hires, trains, coaches, develops and retains Maintenance and Housekeeping staff. Fosters an environment that promotes personal development, strong teamwork and an appreciation of diversity in our workplace and customer base.
Maintains Hazardous Communications program.
Ensures adherence to established work and safety standards as well as related local, state, federal rules, regulations and laws.
Actively participates in safety programs and disaster preparedness to ensure a safe, clean and organized environment for customers, vendors and Employees.
Manages ledger expenses for assigned facility.

Skills Summary:

Supervisory and/or leadership experience
Maintenance experience
Flexible to work in multiple locations within designated geographic area
Experience operating power tools, meters and equipment necessary to execute assigned duties
PC proficiency to include Word and Excel
Strong analysis skills
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
