Current Need



This position provides EDI system communication and implementation services to Pharma customers, suppliers, banks, McKesson business units and Subsidiaries. Business initiatives involve Controlled Substance ordering (CSOS), CDC H1N1 vaccines, Generics file transfers, EAI/SAP integrations, Central Fill support and our eCommerce infrastructure project, CIMS. Responsibilities include primary on-call production support on a rotational basis for critical order-to-cash and buy side processing, regulatory updates and Disaster Recovery.

Position Description



Designs, implements, and supports electronic commerce solutions for business to consumer and business to business technologies. Projects may encompass communications with EDI Value Added Networks, direct connections to trading partners, data transmissions to and from business applications, and data translation to and from ANSII X12/EDIFACT. Responsibilities may also include application development, database design and extraction, and network experience in virtual private networks, Internet protocols, and multi-tier environments.

Additional Knowledge & Skills



This individual will work closely with McKesson's business and IT units as well as customers, suppliers, vendors and their IT staffs in communicating eCommerce capabilities and developing business integration solutions. Other responsibilities include:

- acting as the eCommerce team lead in gathering requirements and designing new business processes and system interfaces

- facilitate and contribute to strategy meetings on our eCommerce capabilities, standards and guidelines and communication of these features and best practices to both McKesson teams and external trading partners

- documenting functional requirements for application systems development and involvement in QA testing and production implementation.

- proposing, configuring, testing and implementation of technical communication paths to exchange electronic documents.

- providing support for both eCommerce infrastructure projects as well as CIT sponsored changes

- training of the staff on new components of our eCommerce infrastructure

- providing primary and backup 24 x 7 support for implementations, quarterly system tests and production issues.



Technical skills include:

- Knowledge/experience in EDI transport and translation capabilities

- Familiarity with internet protocols (AS2, AS3), EAI integration

- Basic UNIX/Linux knowledge desired

Minimum Requirements



5+ years of EDI or related experience

Education



4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
