Location: San Leandro, CA
Reporting Relationship: Supply Chain Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt; Full-time

Summary:
  • Provide analytical and systems support to Supply Chain initiatives.
  • Partner with the IT group on JD Edwards Enterprise One (ERP), Advanced Planning Optimization (SAP-APO), and other 3rd party systems.
  • As the in-house specialist on supply chain systems, acts as the liaison between operations and its supporting technical groups and translate business requirements to technical solutions.

    Responsibilities:
  • Work with Operations Planning and IT to communicate user requirements and automate business tools.
  • Implement, test and support purchased and internally developed business solutions and reports
  • Understand complex user reporting requirements and be able to produce reports to satisfy their information needs
  • Understand, analyze and document business requirements
  • Improve current macro based capacity model. Document processes to be able to move to SAP-APO for capacity planning.
  • Implement and activate Distribution Requirement Planning (DRP) module for specific product groups. Work with IT and setup the parameters in JDE. Test, implement, document and train users on new processes.
  • Gather data and develop presentation material for DRP, MRP and Sales &Operation Planning (S&OP)
  • Support MRP to be able to sustain and improve current processes
  • Maintain and update distribution split tables on a quarterly basis.
  • Support data gathering for network analysis and modeling.
  • Participate in cross-functional solutions to meet business needs to transform business processes and applications
  • Seek opportunities to simplify and streamline processes and applications
  • Provide end-user training
  • Provide analysis to troubleshoot application issues
  • Maintains data for current processes. Evaluate current processes and improve those as needed.
  • Support Supply Chain initiatives as required
  • Understand and provide back-up for Supply Chain Manager and Co-pack Analyst functions


  • Skills / Requirements
    Skills Required:
  • Experience with integrated systems (JD Edwards, SAP or Oracle preferred).
  • Ability to develop and maintain business/technical documentation
  • Strong communication skills and adept at translating requirements between users and IT team
  • Demonstrated success supporting multiple simultaneous projects with high attention to detail
  • Perform duties under minimal supervision
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self starter with strong, proactive work ethic
  • Demonstrate ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to learn quickly and be flexible
  • Ability to facilitate and coordinate training programs at various levels in the organization
  • Knowledge regarding all elements of Operations
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Project
  • Be expert user in Excel and be able to create and update macros
  • System savvy and quick learner of new tools and systems

    Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Business/Supply Chain/Computer Science or related field
  • 1-3 years of business analyst experience preferred

    Working Conditions:
  • Spends most of the time in the office, working on computer, telephone or in meetings.
  • Occasional travel
  • More detailed physical demands/working conditions are available through the Human Resources Department.
